Default Specter's "Investigation" isn't happening

I just got some very interesting news about Specter and his staff. Apparently he's going through chemo right now and has been insanely difficult to work with. His staff has been going through the motions of "interviewing" certain people but they have been winding down and just going through the motions. Most of his staff privately thinks this thing is a joke and the rest of the judiciary committee is pretty angry about his posturing and empty threats. Other staffs have been in communication with the NFL and assured them that there is nothing to worry about, there will be no investigation. I didn't want to post this in the main forum as I didn't really want to advertise the info but I thought I'd share what I found out.

Hahahaha, First time I've agreed with one of your posts in this section.

I didn't think this thing would get legs in this climate. Thanks for posting it .

If this is the situation, why aren't his handlers or the leaders of the Republican Party reigning him in.. if he is this sick, why is he allowed all the face time on TV to inflame this situation even more.

I had wondered the same thing, GJAJ, but was afraid I'd be accused of being insensitive to the poor man's suffering (or something) if I asked.
