From the Bush family lineage of funding Nazi's to planning facist coups all the way to today's iinvasion of soverign nations, to the creation of torture camps....

His staements yesterday on the 60th anniversary of Israel are indeed, bullshizz! Either he is a clueless man to history or a crafty rewriter of it. I beg those of you who back this 'man' and his policy to look back at ACTUAL history, not what Bush tells you is history. Check that against what is happening now, and ask yourself....

who is our President? and who is he fighting for?

I'm still waiting for your response to the post I made yesterday where I provided proof of the little nut in Iran's desire to see Israel destroyed. You said it was horse crap or some such, and blamed Bush for spreading lies.

I'd really like to keep this thread about the Bush faminlies ties to Nazis, Coups and similarities to what is happening now...but....since I respect you a.paul...

My reply is that MOST persians don't agree with Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, and the Mullahs. MOST Iranians are under the age of 35 and looked to the west as a cultural revolution. MOST Iranians want to become more free, listen to the music they want to listen to, wear the clothing they want to wear. It takes time. Threatening them with boms doesn't make them want to change. It makes them want to rebel.

On the flip...

MOST Americans (about 70%) Don't agree with Bush. He doesn't speak for me and most people I know. Yet he is the voice of our nation, or 'elected' figurehead. Yet his words do not speak the popular will of the public. I shudder when I think of the vast poulation of nations who take his word as the popular word of the american public. Much as most of us seem to do that with the Persian population.

maybe this all does come full circle....because yet another invasion and attempt to lie the public into war looms...And I think its ironic that George W. Bush is speaking in Israel, on its 60th birthday when Prescott Bush was a Hitler guy. Yet nobody seems to see the Irony in all of that. They praise him, and he cried.....he cried.

Bush IS Lying about all this. Bush comes from a line of Nazi funding Coup creating terrorists. Thats a frickin fact. Those who claim unlimited power will have a real hard time giving that power up. This is not dissimilar to Iran at all. One can look at our two nations as almost mirror images. Its strange that we can be so similar, misunderstood in our leaders chosen path of righteousess. Destined to folley in our attempts at justice from something as simple as dialog.

So what you're saying is, GWB has no credibility because (since you want this thread about that, I guess we can avoid all the other reasons you think he has no credibility ) his grandfather supported the nazi party as an alternative to communism?

Now...since we're talking nazis, what kind of credibility does Teddy Kennedy have, since his FATHER was kicked out of London for being a nazi sympatizer? I mean...father is more direct than grandfather, right?

You say GWB doesn't speak for you...so why would you expect him to speak for his grandfather?

There's a difference between seeing nazis as a better choice then communism and wanting to create a thousand year reich in North America....

BTW--that 70% of people you say don't approve of GWB? A lot of them are also Republicans who're irritated at him over spending, immigration, Patriot Act, etc.

maybe I'll make it simple for you....

MOST Iranians don't want Israel wiped off the planet.
MOST Americans don't want to bomb Iran

the people who want war are a small number of elitists who claim that the world's polulation needs to be reduced by about 85%...they are the people in power. But the real power, as I believe it is in #s. There are more people who want peace than people who want war.

two reasons.

1. Jews live in Iran, and have been for thousands of years. During the peak of the Persian Empire, Jews are thought to have comprised as much as 20% of the population. To this day Iran is polulated with a lot of Jewish people. At the time of the establishment of the state of Israel in 1948, there were approximately 140,000–150,000 Jews living in Iran, and estimated at less than 40,000 nowadays, with around 25,000 residing in Tehran.

2. Reprecussions of such an action.

The difference between thinking the nazi party was a better choice than communism in 1930 and wanting to create a thousand year reich in this country is fairly obvious, isn't it?

In the thirties most people (Churchill was an exeption) didn't see the nazis as the pure evil we see them as now. It wasn't until the early 40's that the world even learned of the death camps etc. There were stories before that, but most people simply couldn't believe it.
Communism was seen as a real threat world-wide.
