My experince:

SOC 101

I wrote my first college research paper, took it very seriously, spent hours in the library researching my subject matter, had a two page bibliography, and back up everything I wrote with statistics. HOWEVER, the subject matter of my paper (Police Officers get shot at 70% times greater than they shoot back (true numbers)) didn't sit well with my very liberal professor (sit in his class for ten minutes, and there was no doubt about that) and I got a "C".

Later on in the same term, same class, had to do a paper on a leftwing book called, "In Banks We Trust" which basically said that Chase Manhattan was hiring death squads to keep government that owe them money in power. I didn't read the book, the night before the report was due, I read the first paragraph of each chapter and churned out a POS 3 page paper, but this time, I wrote it as a flaming liberal! I even ended my paper with this famous qip, "The book illuminated many things about the nefarious practices of these corrupt fianancial institutions, however it did not answer the biggest question I have about banks. Why is it when you bounce a check, they turn around and charge you more, of what they already KNOW, you don't have any of!

He thought that was grreat, and I got an "A".
