Default Who will Obama pick as a running mate?

I am no Obama fan, but I think Hillary is just about done.

Who will Obama pick as a running mate?

I had a dream "nightmare" that he picked Deval Patrick.
Obama is smarter than that !

Who will he pick?

I'd like to see John Edwards. But he'll probably pick some conservative red/swing state democratic governor like Ed Rendell or someone.

If he runs with a White male, there are chances he could be assassinated.

IMO he needs a DC insider, someone who can help him in some of the areas he is weak in, not sure who but geographically Bill Richardson might make some sense.. I do not think a no name bright guy or girl under the horizon type will help..

I'd like to see him pick Clinton because it would heal the divisions of the Democratic Party, and reduce McCain's ability to exploit the divisions by choosing a woman himself. There are some rumors that Obama will choose governor Ted Strickland of Ohio for strategic reason. I don't know anything about Strickland. If he goes that route, I think he should go with Jim Webb, Senator from Virginia, a populist Dem who was Reagan's Sec'y of the Navy.

Osama Bin Ladin....
because he's such a bad terrorist and Muslim America-hater...like Barack Hussein Osama and his evil wife is...I mean Obama. Together they will all destroy America and change the national anthem to "Fight the Power" by Public Enemy.

For some reason I always think he'll pick Edwards. If he does, I might have to vote against Obama. I stress might. Edwards is the biggest fony, ok, maybe second to Hillary (Romney ain't to far behind!) in the land. He's a total fraud. The problem is that his picking Edwards will mean a loss. Edwards is so out in left field that the GOP base will vote against that ticket, helping McAmnesty. The sensible choice is Bill Richardson. Former governor, hispanic, very experienced, etc. I think he's on the short list, as he should be. I like Richardson, although he made me shake my head a couple of times during his campaign. He sounded like a drunk boob too often. Strickland is an option as Patters suggested. Ohio is critical, and Obama lags in the polls there. The GOP can't win without Ohio. So he could be the choice for that reason alone. Jim Webb is another option, but an all legislative ticket with little national name recognition isn't ideal.

I guess Ted Strickland, the governor of Ohio, is being talked about. He's pretty moderate from what I understand and rated an A by the NRA, which might garner some of that vote. He needs to pick someone moderate though, that's for sure.

Brian Schwietzer (D), Montana

Call me crazy, but this guy will deliver the right side of the Blue Division.

Moderate as hell, deeply loved in MT (consistently 70% approval), has foreign experience, especially in Saudi Arabia, and was appointed to head a dept, in the USDA.
