Would accuracy be too much to hope for? In 2002 the firm that he's CEO made around $350K from the Junta.
Secondly, he's not McCain's convention manager (what the hell is a convention manager anyway? That's stupid. Sounds like micromanaging to me).

You should edit the title to say "Former" at least.

Default McCain's Convention Leader Linked to Support of Myanmar...

From Fox News, so this has to be wright.. seems to be an awful lot of lobbyists surrounding the hero of the Republican Party.. could have McCain known this is he a puppet of the lobbyists???? If he did not know it, he does not seem like the kind of guy we want running this country, who else is working for him???

http://elections.foxnews.com/2008/05...ties-reported/

ST. PAUL, Minn. — The man picked by the John McCain campaign to run the 2008 Republican National Convention resigned Saturday after a report that his lobbying firm used to represent the military regime in Myanmar.

Doug Goodyear resigned as convention coordinator and issued a two sentence statement:

“Today I offered the convention my resignation so as not to become a distraction in this campaign. I continue to strongly support John McCain for president, and wish him the best of luck in this campaign.”

Goodyear, chief executive of lobbying firm DCI Group, resigned a few hours after Newsweek posted a story posted online that the company was paid $348,000 in 2002 and 2003 to represent Myanmar’s junta.

would that make you feel all warm and fuzzy, are you disputing the facts?? McCain should have known this, what type of prospective leader would not know this? What other things is he hiding or sweeping under the rug???

Its more Bushism. Like a Bush appointment, but rather then incompetence its ethics.

I'm willing to bet that this guy, as CEO didn't even know.

Credit him with bowing out so quickly and gracefully.

How is it ethics? Just because you think you'd have turned down the business from whoever you don't agree with, you don't survive long as a business when you do that.

In my business there are people I don't want to deal with, but I do anyway, because I'd rather have the momentary discomfort and keep the business going.
