Fwiw, Tom Hanks is actually one of the few actors who is an independant thinker, so its a little unfair to loop him with someone like Scarlett Johannsen.

Tom Hanks is an ultra hollywood Liberal. FEC ducuments show Hank's contributing to the likes of Obama, Patch's Kennedy, Henry Waxman and Al Franken. Couldn't make up a more Liberal cast if I tried with that foursome.

when you become an actor freedom of speech goes out the window. "Shutup and act." Hanks should have known that if he wanted to reserve the right to speak about what he believes in he should have joined Patsfans.com.
