I saw this on MSNBC yesterday. It brought me to tears. What a great family - father and son! I thought the dad was terrific - absolutely terrific - exactly what a father is supposed to be.
How often does that actually happen, I wonder? (Not this situation is specific, just being a supportive and caring parent in general when faced with any child's need for unconditional acceptance and love.)

That thought assumes only conservatives wanted that in place. Now granted some vocal conservatives of today still wanted it but to assume it was only conservatives who wanted that over the years is flawed. Prejudice and bigotry do not only come from the right - it's just that it makes news when it does.
