The protest was the idea of the activist magazine, ADBUSTERS, a publication with about 100,000 subscribers. They are calling for people to come to Wall Street and camp out by the famous gold bull and protest their demands be met. Thus far, they haven'g figured out what those demands are.

"The demand could be some stupid lefty thing like 'overthrow capitalism,'" Lasn says. "We're hoping it's something specific and doable, like asking Obama to set up a committee to look into the fall of U.S. banking. Nothing extreme about that."

Adbusters is a pretty radical publication...at least far left.

I didn't say there was anything wrong with being radical. I would only view it as wrong if a group of them became militant.

If any group of Americans tried to overthrow capitalism, they would be crushed...So you'd be ok with a radical group that killed fellow AMericans. Even if they killed the CEO of Bank of America, I'd want to see them all hang Wistah.

I think radicals from left or right express a view that many people at least partlty agree with. It's the milktoast, go along with it types that pigs on Wall Street like having around. Most people will do what they're told by the TV and are unwilling to put themselves through any discomfort to effect a change they know is necessary. One of the things most Americans agree need changing is the massive spending by the government, endless wars, and unrestrained accumulation of wealth by a select few in this country. Few are willing to take to the streets for any of those causes.
