Came across this information on another site, found it interesting that in her view only lesbians and extreme feminists oppose this.. interestingly Rev. Moon has rather lofty ideals for his religious colleges, control certification of those professions that need it..reminds me of the Cartoon Pink and the Brain, what are we going to tonight Rev. Moon, we are going to take over the world.
Moon: "Once we can control two or three universities, then we will be on the way to controlling the certification for the major professions in the United States."
I recently strolled through a series of ramshackle buildings along Long Island Sound, at the south end of Bridgeport - decaying and abandoned buildings, deserted and silent streets. Was this the aging Pequonnic Apartments, or the decrepit Marina Village?
No. It was the University of Bridgeport (UB). The University of Bridgeport after the Unification Church of Sun Myung Moon acquired control of it in 1992. The group is popularly known as the “Moonies,” and to many minds, it is the very definition of a cult.
No mention of this insidious cult’s ownership is in any of the institutions documentation. The result of the take-over is a gutting of the school’s credibility and a bastardization of its curriculum. They have introduced a series of pseudoscientific and alternative medical programs into the university, taking the lead in the encroachment of such unsubstantiated and dangerous programs which continue to grow and gain credibility within our higher educational system. Moreover, this now cult infused institution, continues to be accredited by the state. Still claiming to be non-sectarian, Bridgeport University has succumbed to the increasing wave of irrationality which threatens American education. In UB’s case, this incursion is made more odious by the fact that a cult is steering the course.
First chartered in 1947 (Schaffer, 52), UB once thrived, boasting over 9000 students. This sad shell of a university now has barely over 1200 full time enrollments.
There have been many organizations to tackle these problems, however, Rev. Sun Myung Moon is the first to establish academics strictly for this cause. In 1999, he established the first Pure Love Studies Major at Sun Moon University. It is not only to educate the youth about the values of purity, but to help them actualize a culture of pure love, so they can make a world where people can live a life of pure love. The students are also nurtured to become leaders who can spread these values and messages and to help educate and guide world leaders in this endeavor.
In order to do this, it first guides the students to substantiate these values by helping them realize the importance of a life of purity. They also receive training and practice throughout their 4 years of study. After graduating, they will go overseas and become Pure Love Missionaries for 4 years, educating and spreading its message and also assist Peace Ambassadors to help realize a world of peace where true love can be actualized.
In a world where self-individualism is becoming rampant, the message of purity hasn't always been received with great fanfare. Mishuku Nikkuni, a senior in pure love studies, admitted, "Sometimes it's hard because not everyone agrees with our thought. Of course there are those that oppose us like lesbians and extreme feminists."

Other interesting article on how George Bush and the so call Faith Based Initiative is pouring money into this church, some call it a cult.. this all seems a little too cheeky for me, no wonder this gov't drives up the deficit..
At least four longtime operatives of Moon's Unification Church are on the federal payroll or getting government grants in the administration's Healthy Marriage Initiative and other "faith-based" programs.
At the Oakland seminar, Josephine Hauer, a graduate of the Rev. Moon's Unification Theological Seminary in New York and a newly hired "marriage specialist" with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, worked the crowd of ministers and church workers packed into a stuffy room.
Last month, Evans and his partners won a $366,179 grant from the Bush administration's Compassion Capital Fund -- part of the latest $45 million in social service contracts given to churches and community groups from the program this year.
Free Teens USA, an after-school program in New Jersey promoting abstinence until marriage, has been given $475,000 by the federal Health Resources and Services Administration, another part of the Department of Health and Human Services. Free Teens is led by Richard Panzer, another alumnus of Unification Theological Seminary. Panzer was also a leader in the American Constitution Committee, one of many political organizations affiliated with Moon.
Another longtime political operative in Moon front groups, David Caprara, now directs the Office of Faith-Based and Community Initiatives for the federal government's Corporation for National and Community Service. That agency runs, among other things, AmeriCorps Vista, which works with community organizations in low-income neighborhoods, and has emerged as a key player in Bush's faith-based initiative, handing out $61 million to faith-based organizations in fiscal year 2003.

Uh-h-h, Mr. Rhode Island already said that. Don't you have anything original to say, or are you just a lemming drone who follows whatever society tells you to do?? No need to answer, I already know.
