Default Longshoremen riot

Funny you would think this would have some coverage in the national media.

Lawless: Unionized Longshoremen Take Hostages, Destroy Property in Labor Dispute - Guy Benson

Quote:
Hundreds of Longshoremen stormed the Port of Longview early Thursday, overpowered and held security guards, damaged railroad cars, and dumped grain that is the center of a labor dispute, said Longview Police Chief Jim Duscha. Six guards were held hostage for a couple of hours after 500 or more Longshoremen broke down gates about 4:30 a.m. and smashed windows in the guard shack, he said.
...

"We're not surprised," Duscha said. "A lot of the protesters were telling us this in only the start." One sergeant was threatened with baseball bats and retreated, Duscha said. "One officer with hundreds of Longshoremen? He used the better part of discretion."

The WH has said nothing about this assault, this riot occurred later in the evening after their leader R Trumka sat in the Presidential Box with Mrs Obama. No condemnation from Trumka and of course none from J Hoffa who called for violence a few days earlier.

When a local TV station sent a camera crew to get the Union side of the story they got the following 'greeting' (vid at link)

"You Want Your F---ing Camera Broken?" - Guy Benson

"How does (Miami-Ohio offensive lineman Brandon) Brooks not get invited to the combine? How did Vollmer not get invited to the combine? I don't know. We can't really worry about that. We just have to try to evaluate them the best we can."

Why would the White House comment?

Here's the Wall Street Journal's account:

Two Pacific Ports Reopen After Union Dispute - WSJ.com

Nothing about hostages being held.

I hope they charge everyone and anyone who damaged property, or committed any crimes. That's BS. I'll never forget the conversations I had with the honcho from the Local 22 who was trying to sell me on going union. He thought he was telling me stuff I wanted to hear, when in fact it only made me want to punch him in the face.
