Shocking...

Considering the disbanding of the Iraqi army, de-Baathification law, withdrawing the State Department, and the complete and willful ignoring of ORHA's security requests regarding important Iraqi infrastructure (besides oil plants), I'm increasingly of the mind that the Cheney/Rumsfeld/Garner/Bremmer team wanted chaos all along. They just couldn't be that stupid.

Mission accomplished.

Now that is a thread hijacking!!

Let's at least try and stay in the same hemishere when spinning.

If only thre democrat congressmen had not taken Sadddam's money and went over there to support him, before the war, all of this could have been avoided.

It was not a mistake, the mistake was thinking that the Democrats would side with America in the war on terror. Do you honestly think that is the Democrats had not given daily aid and comfort to the enemey that they would still be around?

If you two only had the slightest of clues as to what is going on there. de-Bathification has nothing to do with this. As usual you're clueless. This is about disarming, and destroying the Mehdi Army, a militia, which is prohibited from existing according to the Iraqi Constitution. This action would have been unthinkable even a year ago. The fact that it is happening is a testament to how far the government, the people, and the ISF have come. Sadr has a choice here. Lay down his arms and stick with politics, or die and have his arms laid down for him. Malaki is the one calling the shots on this. He's a Shiite. If people in here actually read the information that matters, instead of ThinkProgressive, then they'd know how reviled most of the Mehdi Army is, now that the Sunni's are no longer a threat. It's ok though, we all know. Rinse, lather, repeat...

So in your opinion, American Democrats are enemies of America? Is that just members of Congress who are Democrats or all Americans who vote for Democrats?

Even if that was true (and I certainly don't agree), it should have been part of the political calculation that Bush made much earlier on. Besides, at this point, you have more and more independents and even Republicans turning against the war. Perhaps if Bush had waged the war with more troops and weapons, he could have succeeded in a timeframe during which American support for the war was high. But, everything about this war was done wrong. Bush failed completely as a President and as a politician.

They took Iraq in what two weeks? How much quicker do you want them to do it? What you people don't realize is that they are not fighting Iraqis now, they are fighting terrorists being shipped to Iraq to fulfill the Democrat prophecies about the war. The arab world was in shock about how quickly the Iraqis were defeated, and then came the Democrats with their *****ing and crying about the Iraqi Musuem, and then this, and then that, if you do not think that gave the terrorists the idea to flood Iraq with terrorists, your nuts! The terrorists know that they could not stand to have an Arab nation fall so quickly to the US, and a peacefull transition to a democracy would have been a tremendous blow to them, luckily for them along came the Harry Reids of the world proclaiming victorys as losses, and such.

Does anyone here not think that the Iraq situation would be totaly different today, if the left wing would have just shut up, (I know it would be much to ask of them, to actually support America).
