I saw that too. It's for very very small quantities, and I believe you'll still get a fine. But still, it will be interesting to see how it goes. I have some very libertarian leanings, but am cautious about the practicality of such applications. This is one that I would like to see how it applies in the real world.

You can always still be charged Federally. Federal Law trumps state law, everytime.

And given the absolute stupidity--not to mention hubris--of almost every federal prosecutor, I wouldn't be at all shocked to see people start being charged federally for a couple of sticks.

And we all know that pot smokers fall right behind gays as America's biggest terrorists.

Back when I was smoking, I used to think I was a better driver. Hard to tell since I never caused an accident in my life (did get speeding tickets sober and straight, though), so I can't compare it to anything personally.

Pot should be legalized and taxed. Between the additional tax revenue, and not spending all the money spent to control it, think of the revenue savings.

Been there, done that. Used pot for about 18 months. Nice high. Liked it a lot. BUT, it doesn't solve the problems, which still exist when the sober light comes back on. We need to make some fundamental fixes in the way we see our lives, and that takes a straight mind (in more ways than one).
