It's what I saw, it's what I remember, everybody in Harvard Sq that day wearing the peace sign wanted to kill the Cops, The Firemen and any soldier crazy enough to wear the uniform of America's military.
Don't feel sorry for me feel sorry for the people Hitler cooked in the ovens, feel sorry for the people sleeping in their bunks that Sunday morning in Pearl Harbor, feel sorry for the little Chinese baby's the Japs bayoneted during the thirties, feel sorry for the 18 year old American kids the Japs slaughtered on the Battan Death March, feel sorry for the little kids that died in Hiroshima, feel sorry for the people that were roasted alive on 9/11, feel sorry for the teen age soldiers dying in Iraq, feel sorry for the kid that goes out in the schoolyard to play and the bully beats him senseless.
The Peace Sign is beautiful but how do you get the killers and bullys of the world to go along with it?
The "Peace Sign" was a great Idea but unfortunately many of the people wearing it during the Viet Nam days wanted to blow something up or kill somebody.
As soon as you build a "Peaceful" little clubhouse in your backyard the BULLY will find it and try to destroy it the History of the world bears this out (I learned that early in life and the bully knew that if he f-cked with my clubhouse he was in for a fight) right today we have an enemy that prays to their God that we all die and they will spend many years trying to kill us.
Wouldn't it be great if the Peace Sign could fly over every Mosque in the world.
When I see The Peace Sign I still think of the "Screaming Bastards" in Harvard Square and Tomato Juice.
