Default 8/28/2006 : Early warning on US economic bust

Early warning on US economic bust shown in this interview, but I wanted to kick ,the second guy, that Laffer hard in the nuts.
By the way , Laffer was the one who convinced Reagan that you could lower tax rates and raise spending and everything would be fine.

Bonus story : (sorry, more bad news)

Mortgage market needs $1 trillion, FBR estimates
Without that, prices of securities will fall, raising interest rates on home loans

What's your point..? Economists are always making predictions so yeah some of them are going to get it right every now and then. There's nothing in there remarkably significant... just a bunch of stuff people have been saying about America for 25 years...

If I predict "a full recovery is just around the corner" am I a genius when it happens in 2010...?

Sovereign wealth funds entered the public spotlight after investing more than $30 billion since last fall in financial services firms such as Citigroup Inc., Merrill Lynch & Co. Inc. and Morgan Stanley.

Norway, Russia and several Middle Eastern countries use sovereign funds to reinvest their burgeoning oil revenues, while Asian countries such as China and Singapore use them to reinvest trade surpluses.

While banks welcomed the cash, some U.S. politicians and government regulators are worried the sovereign funds will invest for political, rather than economic, reasons, such as to relocate U.S. production to their home countries.
