Che Guevera's life story is fascinating. Sort of like Darth Vader. I come at this from the perspective that Communism is undoubtedly the hardest road between Capitalism and Capitalism. In other words, it $ucks, and will never ever work. I honestly believe that humanity will have to evolve to the point where its not even accurate to call us Homo Sapiens anymore before Communism will work for us.

Guevera was highly influenced by the negative effects of American Imperialism. If he hadn't seen a Central America quite so loaded with poverty and strife and so heavily influenced by American Capitalism I doubt he would have fallen so hard for Communism and probably would have done great things for Hispanics across the globe. Instead he was turned evil, or perhaps its better to say that he was turned useless, because he was turned to Communism. Just like Darth Vader, who would have done great things for the Republic if only Quigon had gotten to him sooner or if Obi Wan hadn't been so crappy a teacher

I like your take on this. I think he was a young man with ideals that he felt were great and noble (though I disagree about socialism, I understand why he thought it was a good thing). But he did, as you pointed out, most certainly turn evil. He oversaw a lot of unnecessary executions and flat-out murders.
