The agenda was to draw attention to gang violence, That's fine.
If I said that the do-gooders on here would be all over me.

The agenda was to draw attention to gang violence, That's fine. but the edited interview told a lie that can only add fuel to the fire. I hope this backfires on Steve's dream of a Pulitzer. Actually I hope it gets him fired.
They do it all the time - doesn't make it right but this one made the news, many others don't.
Sums up everything you know about anything, Harry - and how you report it back to us.
Perfectly.
No wonder you think the Koran promotes violence - you don't even know what your own bible says.
Well, you can't win em all, maybe it was Jesus Christ or Abraham that said it, somebody said something like it somewhere in that book, I think I've told you before "I spent 3 years in the seventh grade.
Who Said it.........................

...But I notice that the kid has a perversion of what the police is, and in his mind, the police is only the people who have the most force to inflict damage...
He should not be allowed on the police as he will be one of the ones who indiscriminately kills before ensuring he's shooting the right person or even if he should shoot....
That's quite a conclusion to draw from a kid saying he's going to have a gun b/c he's going to be the police.
I'm guessing many, if not most, boys associate police with uniforms and guns.
When I was a kid we always played with toy or imaginary guns. It's part of being a boy, isn't it? I don't think you can draw any conclusions about this particular boy based on that brief "interview."

Mrs, to answer your question, I have no reason to think it was racist, but horrible journalism and unethical, yes.
I'm guessing many, if not most, boys associate police with uniforms and guns.
Agreed - and many, if not most, young children look to the police to protect them. Wanting to grow up and be one of those doing the protecting is not a bad thing.
I would be proud to have a child who wanted to become a policeman. In fact, I don't know any parent of any little boy who hasn't, at one time or another, heard his pre-school little boy say he was going to grow up and be a policeman or a fireman.
Are all of them to be suspected of being somone who who will indiscriminately kill before ensuring he's shooting the right person or even if he should shoot?
Or is it just the little ghetto kids?
Something's seriously wrong with anyone who reads anything dangerous or bad in a 4 year old wanting to be "the police."

"How does (Miami-Ohio offensive lineman Brandon) Brooks not get invited to the combine? How did Vollmer not get invited to the combine? I don't know. We can't really worry about that. We just have to try to evaluate them the best we can."
