How come alot of teens don't know what "genocide" is?
Very sad that they don't know what it is. It should be a mandatory part of a teens education just like U.S. History.
Ask a teen what the word means and you might get an explanation that it's a disease or illness.

I have attempted to make these questions fairly easy, but my guess is that there wouldn't be one teenager that can answer them all correctly. In fact, my feeling is that not one teenager could get even half of them correct.

These same kids are protected from ART . Art is bad like Porn. Many Prestigious artistic paints from last century had to be removed from their books , because Art shocked their "smart" parents that look like Al qaeda in america.

Every once in awhile NEM is brilliant.
Drugs, Sex, and Bush Hating, if you have to know anything about these subjects and if you are a teacher, you have sitting before you a room full of experts.
I admire teachers, please don't teach them about how wonderfull all of America's enemy's are or who to bring home to dinner, what they really need to know to get though life is How To Read, How To Write and How Much Two & Two Is, then teach them "Nems List".

So high school students shouldn't learn american history or the atrocities that are committed in the world? Maybe that's why many of them have no appreciation for what they have and waste a ton of food and consume way too much.

Just feeling you out, I understand, I hope you don't just focus on "American Atrocities" I was curious, I have a big family and when I talk to some of the young people in my family and about school and the subjects they discuss in the school room it gets me so mad I have to sit out in the snow, Especially on how bad America is and was or how Mr Jones SUV is going to make them all Sterile.
I don't call it "teaching" I call it "brainwashing", bad America, bad Jesus, bad White Man, bad Policeman, bad BUSH, bad Republican, bad President Truman, etc, etc.
If I had it all to do over and was capable and had the means, I would "Home School"

I speak specifically in atrocoties around the world specifically in Darfur. My concern is that many people think that genocide ended when the Holocaust did. Meanwhile there has been Rowanda, Cambodia, parts of Europe, etc. Not to mention the denial ofo the Armenian genocide.
I have low expectations. I think they should at least know what the word is as it's one of the most important topics in life IMO.
