They are doing the same thing in RI, focusing on other assets beside churches, they are still reeling financially from the litigation they experienced when they looked the other way when their priests were diddling..
At one time in RI they owned some very presigious properties, some of which has been sold, but they still have a lot of assetts, glad to get them back on the tax rolls...

Churches are way to big anyways - does anyone even use them anymore? Talk about government failure - how about the church's failure to maintain it's people. How about adapting a bit like maybe letting women speak for God as priests, letting men bag the johnson - little things like that. While they are at it perhaps they can go the extra mile and declare some parts of the bible as total bs - that would be a treat.
