Advisories issued in 24 states as dangerous heat wave spreads - CNN.com

The areas covered by the excessive heat advisory -- parts of Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri, Arkansas, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee, Mississippi and Alabama -- can expect the heat index to rise above 110 degrees Tuesday, the Weather Service said.

The hottest of the hot looks to be Mississippi and parts of Tennessee, where forecasters warned the heat index could soar to 116.

Other states included in the heat advisory are Connecticut, Delaware, Kansas, Louisiana, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas and Virginia.

It's summer weather.......

I predict it will be significantly colder in the US in 6 months, Harry Boy tells me Maine will be chilly at this time.

This is what generally happens in the summer.

The climate alarmists don't seem to get it, though, scheduling conferences in DC during the winter when it's frigid.

What's going on? Uh, um, gee... IT'S THE MIDDLE OF JULY. Heat indexes well into the 100's are typical this time of year in those places you mentioned. It isn't George Bush's fault.

I guess you'll be panicking just as much 6 months from now when we see a couple days with temps below freezing and wind chills in the single digits.
