Students at Howard University in the cafeteria stood up on the tables cheering when the Not Guilty verdict came in, an act of disgusting Racism, nobody in the Media batted an eye.

Imagine what I would be called on this forum if that trial were going on today and I said I thought he was guilty.

They must love him in the can.

but the best part:

Recently, Oprah said that she has a dream of Simpson confessing the crimes to her. And that possibly was the genesis for the false report.

Only frickin Oprah would dream some shizzz like that....

It really doesn't matter if he confesses. Whites and blacks had diametrically different views of the case at the time. And because of double jeopardy he's free as a bird.

He lost a civil case, but isn't paying back any time soon.

Most blacks I suspect still view him as innocent, as did the jury at the time.

Until we care more for justice and less about grievances and placating aggrieved "minorities"--I'm not sure that word makes much sense now that white babies are now in the minority--our courts aren't what they should be.

I sometimes think judges should determine guilt or not, and juries determine awards. But when so many people get off who are in the productive sector of the population, the pool of applicants for juries are skewed to the, ahem, unproductive.

I thought most states had now changed their policies to keep people from getting off jury duty easily.

Even if they haven't, maybe a better question is why so many, ahem, productive people are so anxious to skip out on their civic duty.
