Default Texas Logic

If you haven't heard Gov Rick Perry has revived a bill that would make it extremely difficult for the TSA to perform their duties in Texas.

Texas TSA Bill Could Spark New Fight With Feds (VIDEO)

Quote:
State Rep. David Simpson, R-Longview, sent a letter urging Perry to defend the "privacy, dignity and constitutional rights of our citizens." Simpson wrote that he and Sen. Dan Patrick, a Houston Republican, have rallied enough support in both chambers to pass the bill.
In other news Texas just passed a law requiring a sonogram for any women seeking an abortion.

I'm trying to figure out how being frisked before getting on a flight in Texas is an invasion of privacy but requiring a Doctor to perform a sonogram before a women gets an abortion isn't?

Pregnant women have no privacy rights.

Once an errant sperm finds it's way into her uterus she ceases to have rights. Any rights she may have possessed are immediately superceded by an embryo the size of a pinhead.

I wonder if they would do that to a child who's mother was wearing a Burka.

What realistic choice do you have Wistah? You paid for the ticket, likely have a job you need to get to, or a vacation that isn't refundable. You bow and obey. If not, they might put you on the no fly list or something. I don't think any of us mind a certain level of inconveniece or intrusion for security purposes, but this crap is truly out of control.

I've flown hundreds of times since 9/11 and have never felt violated by a TSA search. I've been frisked 10+ times as I had a one-way ticket or was simply chosen to be frisked.

Texas should invest in those non-invasive body scanners at their Airports or simply become their own Country.

I see, so since you personally haven't felt "violated", then everyone should be ok with what they're doing. Cool.

It's the real world out there, I still wonder how many agents would have the balls to "pat down" a pregnant Muslim women or a six year old girl with her mother who is dressed in a Burka.

Are we supposed to ignore these people simply because they are Muslim or Illegal Aliens they are the ones who put themselves in the news all I do is react, if the Swedes or Nova Scotians were making headlines I would speak of them also.
