Don't worry Harry, communism could never and will never be the American way. Way too many people on the "other side" that would stomp that sh1t out before it even got going.

Communism? c'mon man!

You seem to be confusing the notion that someone has the right to do something with them having the right to do it with absolutely no consequences or repercussions whatsoever.
Nope. Just never got around to that part. NBC is preaching to the chior (pardon the pun) just like FOX is when it constantly promotes religiosity. They're not trying to reach the godless, pot-smoking hippies that are listening to NPR. Problem is, NBC has hockey and the AFC games. Just like the godless pot-smoking hippies have to watch FOX for the NFC games, the Simpsons and the Family Guy.

Feel free to enter the 2000's

I kid! I kid! To this day, I still get chanels 4 and 7 mixed up since when I was a kid, Channel 7 was CBS and Channel 4 was NBC but then, for whatever reason about 15 years ago, they switched affiliates.

Maybe, but our founding fathers did not want to be under anyone either on this world or from whatever.

Our founding fathers were "deists", the last thing they wanted to do would be to introduce subservience to anyone.

"laws of nature and nature's god" is clearly a reference to deism...

The constitution does not reference "god" and are noticably silent, except for the first amendment..

I don't really care that much if the "under God" stays in the Pledge or not. But like PR something about what NBC did just rubs me the wrong way, although I can't put my finger on it. It has the feel of thought police or even censorship to me.
