Default Gaddafi thanks Congress

Gaddafi Letter Sent To Congress Thanking Them For Obama Criticism: Report

Embattled Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi has reportedly written Congress a letter, thanking officials for criticizing President Obama over the NATO-led military campaign in Libya and calling for a U.S. ceasefire.

As the New York Times is reporting, the three-page letter did not refer specifically to a resolution passed by the House which rebuked the Obama administration for maintaining a U.S. role in the campaign without Congress' consent, but instead expressed hope that authorities would continue to pressure the administration for its "inappropriate and illegal interference in what is essentially a Libyan civil war."

“I want to express my sincere gratitude for your thoughtful discussion of the issues,” he allegedly wrote. “We are confident that history will see the wisdom of your country in debating these issues. We are counting on the United States Congress to its continued investigation of military activities of NATO and its allies to confirm what we believe is a clear violation of U.N. Security Council resolution 1973."
