The problem is spending. There was good job growth after the tax cuts.

But the Republicans spent like drunkard sailors and then the Dems came in and spent even more. And then the Obama Admin came in and spent even more.

Why are tax cuts so bad? The people who think raising taxes increases revenues have been proven wrong over and over. The only time it has happened was during the mid-1990's and that was a situation with the dot.com bubble, which burst.

We spend too much! If they had that supposed $2.5 trillion, they would have spent it and more. It was better in the pockets of anyone except the spenders in government. There is nothing but IOU's in the SS and Medicare "trust funds". We have to cut spending, not increase taxes. I really don't know why that is so hard for some people to understand.

If anyone thinks it's bad now, increase taxes including the capital gains tax, and we will see the Great Depression Part II.
