Default Prophetic - Or Establishing an Advance Alibi?

Dominique Strauss Kahn said he could see himself becoming victim of a sex trap.

Three weeks ago, Strauss-Kahn evoked such a possibility in an interview with French newspaper Libération when he said he thought he was under surveillance and named the three principal difficulties he foresaw if he was to stand for the presidential elections.

"Money, women and the fact I am Jewish." He added: "Yes, I like women ... so what?" He said he could see himself becoming the victim of a honey trap: "a woman raped in a car park and who's been promised 500,000 or a million euros to invent such a story ..."

I'd be relying on too little information to be confident in an opinion, but at first glance he looks guilty as hell. Then again it's not too far a stretch to imagine a political conspiracy either. It could be both too. There I think I've covered it all. I'll be back when the truth comes out to claim victory

Nicely played!!!

I'm not offering opinion, either. Not yet, anyhow. Although I have to think the police probably played this one very carefully. A false arrest of a foreign dignitary of this stature could be disasterous.

The fact that he's been referred to as a "rutting chimpanzee" in the past over a similar incident doesn't bode too well for him, either.

As always in these kinds of cases, it's going to be a "he said, she said," situation and those are always very tricky and it's virtually impossible to decide with any degree of certainty who's telling the truth.

It's a lose-lose proposition for both of them.

When coincidence theorists fail:

Strauss-Kahn Case Seen as in Jeopardy
http://www.nytimes.com/2011/07/01/ny...-jeopardy.html
The sexual assault case against Dominique Strauss-Kahn is on the verge of collapse as investigators have uncovered major holes in the credibility of the housekeeper who charged that he attacked her in his Manhattan hotel suite in May, according to two well-placed law enforcement officials.

I bet someone offered her some serious coin. She could be FOS, he could be innocent, and he could be guilty as sin but with deep enough pockets and enough connections to make a deal happen before it gets too late. Who knows. I certainly don't.

A full-blown socialist running the IMF? A man who didn't want additional austerity measures to increase European debt? A man with a history of running his mouth about what Wall St. CEO's told him about their role in the 2008 crash? ... A man who predicted this would happen to him back in Jan.? ... Why is anyone surprised that he was set up on trumped charges?

If you stand in the way of empire, you can rest assured of two outcomes: 1) Subtle "accidental" death in the night, or 2) Charges of sexual deviancy.

They have DNA evidence of a sexual encounter, and their case was "rock solid" a month ago. Now, their case is hanging by a thread. He may have laid down with this woman, but this "story" was bogus from the get-go.

You don't pull a man off a international airport jet runway due to an alleged sexual assault a few hours before. Someone sped this process along while the opportunity was ripe.

I love "socialists" who stay at $500-$3000/night luxury hotels. I mean, the sacrifices he has made for the little people are inspiring!

Are you trying to suggest he's not viewed as a socialist simply because he stays at expensive hotels?

That's really a commentary on how lazy the term is that your team slaps upon anyone to the left of you.

Point is, he's a man who was unwilling to carry on with the flawed, unregulated, unbridled global monetary policy that your party caters to, unendingly. So he had to go.
