This guy is out of NJ (no I don't know him) he has a radio show and there are signs all over the place about the end of the world. Hopefully they don't do the Hale Bopp deal on May 22 when they aren't in heaven.

I've been expecting this, I'm ready, I was going to have a Vasectomey on the 17th but I cancelled it, I killed my fish this morning, things were great in 1938 no traffic, no TV, no friggin cell phones, it was the simple life, the good old days, goodbye, some bugs will survive they will start having sex and make more bugs then the bugs will start walking on two legs then they will make a wheel, then some day one of them will invent the f-cking cell phone then when they all start driving cars the god damn world will end again.

The religiousity-tinged doom-sayers cropping up more and more are a society's subconscious simmering to the surface.

The people know something is poisonous about this empire that we've built on the backs of foreign labor and economic enslavement heaped upon sovereign nations for decades. And while we can't willfully pull ourselves away from all the amenities and trinkets empire has provided for us, instead our subconscious takes over, and rationalizations turn to Mayan calendars and Rapture silliness. Either way, the people know the game is soon over.

While collapse most certainly is coming for this paradigm of fiat currency, fractional reserve banking, corporate immunity and accounting gimmicks... it certainly doesn't mean the "end times." Just a new paradigm, one of increased localization.

It merely means unbridled, unchecked capitalism is moving to hospice care to die. ... It's dying because it could NEVER figure out a way to keep a check on the greed and corruption that inevitably comes with it.

When it becomes profitable to make people (and nature) suffer for the benefit of the rarefied elite, a society can never sustain very long.
