I mean, one CEO had this to say about reform: ‘American ingenuity is a product of the openness and diversity of this society. Immigrants have made America great as the world leader in business, in science, higher education and innovation.’ You know who that leader was? Rupert Murdoch, who owns Fox News, and is an immigrant himself. I don’t know if you’re familiar with Rupert Murdoch’s views, but let’s just say he doesn’t have an Obama sticker on his car. But he agrees with me on this.

Of Course Murdoch can probably differentiate between immigrants who come here legally and people who break the law and come here illegally.
Obama is proposing giving citizenship to people who break the law coming here illegally. This is grossly unfair to those who seek to come here legally and wait while other who break the law will be rewarded.

We just have to try to evaluate them the best we can."

So your allegiance is to legal immigrants that have yet to come here rather than the American economy?

No, he is talking about legal immigrants who are already here and have been waiting in line for years. First they have to wait to get a green card. Then they wait again to gain citizenship. The point is that it is unfair to those who have followed the rules if you reward those who did not. I know dozens of Indian men who have spent years being underpaid (Google "H-1B"), often separated from their families, waiting six years to get a Green Card. What would you say to them?

I don't think people who are criminals should be rewarded for breaking the law.
Do you support criminals who break our laws?

Sometimes there is no good answer, and you simply have to choose the best amongst the available options. I'd say "I deeply apologize for your plight and I know this may be unfair to you but this is the best for everyone in the country". What do you say to all the people who have had their families murdered in cold blood by drug criminals in Mexico? Our war on drugs inherently creates the black market that funds these drug cartels. There's a ton of grey and unfortunately there's no perfect answer to these questions.

Depends the law they broke and the effect on our society. It's not like illegal immigrants are breaking laws and trying to steal from people, it's a natural survival instinct and they fear for their lives in their country. We can do our part to help defund the Mexican drug cartels by ending prohibition. We rewarded the criminals on wall street because it was better for everyone else as well. Sometimes punishment comes with a greater cost to society than the alternative.

Legal not illegal. It's really not that complicated.
As Arizona is somewhat proving, enforcement and policies aimed at making it harder for illegals to benefit from being in country, can lead to self deportation. Again, it's not that complicated.
