Jim Wallis, the editor of Sojourners Magazine, told Jon Stewart on Tuesday's Daily Show, "Two things have happened since we last talked. I've got some good news and some great news. The good news is, the dominance of the religious right over our politics is finally finished."
As the audience cheered and applauded, Wallis continued, "Even the better news is now a new generation has come of age and they're applying their faith ... to the biggest issues that face us: the moral scandal of poverty, the degradation of the environment -- which we call God's creation -- the threat of climate change, Darfur, human rights, the exclusive use of war to fight evil."
Stewart questioned whether a religious left might not wind up being just as rigid as the religious right, but on the other side. Wallis replied that he wasn't expecting that to happen, because people in this country "don't want to go left or right, they want to go deeper, they want to go to a moral center."

I forget if it was The Daily Show or Bill Maher, but someone was describing a candidate for president. The candidate has good morals and is a good christian............thats what we have right now.

here's a perfect example, at the 1:55 mark.... notice how fidgety and frazzled he gets when asked why they insisted Boy King and Cheney testify TOGETHER to the 9/11 Commission, rather than seperate as the commission requested... couldn't answer the question.... eyes shifty with that stupid smirk... lies, lies and more lies...

Martin Luther King must surely weep and his Soul must surely be in in painful agony when he looks down and beholds the destruction that the Scumsucking Mother F-ckers who claim to be loyal believers in his great dream have done to the Christianity that he so often referred to when he spoke of his great dream, the same Christianity that he preached from his pulpit in the little southern Baptist Church, he preached sermons to our God that brought his congregation to their feet where they closed their eyes and raised their arms high in the air towards the heavens and they Praised Their Jesus Lord Almighty God, they shouted out his name, "Jesus, Jesus, Jesus Christ Our Lord God, WE LOVE YOU, BLESS US".
Watching his people praying and praising his Lord brought tears to the eyes of the Reverend Martin Luther King for he knew that his Jesus was watching over them, the Reverend Martin Luther King loved his God and he let the whole world know it many times before his death when he spoke of "His Dream"
