I keep on hearing from the right that illegal immigrants dominate emergency rooms. Is their any data to back up that claim?
Is their data that shows uninsured American citizens using those same emergency rooms?

Emergency room visits increased at twice the rate of growth of the American population between 1997 and 2007, according to a new study in the Journal of the American Medical Association.
Medicaid patients, the study points out, account for "a large proportion of the increase." That's an important reminder that the healthcare reform law's expansion of Medicaid coverage to 15 million more Americans by 2019 is not a guarantee that they'll have access to care.
"Medicaid pays so poorly in many states that physicians limit the number of Medicaid patients they will see," said Angela Gardner, president of the American College of Emergency Physicians. "When these patients get sick but can't get in to see a physician, they often wait until an illness has worsened to the point that they need care in an emergency department. This is important to remember, especially as the nation implements the new healthcare reform law. Health plans must provide fair payment for services, or patients will suffer."
Last time I was in an emergency room was 15 years ago when my friend broke his collarbone......in the Bronx. Didn't see many illegals that day, but I guess I was wrong
It's estimated that 12 million of them have snuck in since your last vist to the ER, the ER personal should treat them, patch them up, notify the Police, the Police should then ship them off to whence they came, we have our own family's to support why should the Tax Paying American Citizens pay the medical bills of Illegal Alien Criminals.

You didn't answer my question. How many American Citizens go to the Emergency room because they have NO health care?
I don't know how anyone would be able to tell how many illegal immigrants use the ER because it's not a question they get asked or have to answer. Any number given would have to be a very rough estimate.
That being said there are these figures available and people ought to be able to infer something if that's what they so desire to do:
Among the uninsured, 7.4 percent made two or more visits to an E.R., but so did 5.1 percent of people with private insurance. Medicaid recipients were the heaviest users of E.R.ís, with 15.3 percent of them making two or more visits during the year.
More than 25 percent of non-Hispanic blacks visited an E.R., compared with 20 percent of whites and about 18 percent of Hispanics
