Default Do we run our Government or not?

If you really want to exercise your power, you can sign a petition that will force our congress to vote on Rand Paul's "National Right to Work Act". If passed, collective bargaining will be outlawed and your community & state workers will not be forced to join unions.

If enough signatures are collected, congress will be forced to vote on this bill. Without them, the left will let this bill die on the vine.

It's America, and it's your choice.

No thanks.. I belong to ASCME or how ever the acronym goes. I hate this union, i really do. But on the other hand They are the only thing standing between me and corporate Amerika that wants me to work for nothing and have little or no benefits.

The Government is run by the corporatists, miliitary industrial complex and the power elite.. what we get are a lot of promises, but in reality we have little or no say..

I was a union member for all of my working life, have and never will cross a picket line.. unions would not exist if the folks in charge would act responsibly..

Rand Paul is just another tool of the Plutocrats.. a situatlonal liberatarian.

No surprise the rich kids would want to outlaw unions, the Koch Brothers are proud..

Does Rand Paul Have Something To Hide?

Or, conversely, you can really exercise your power and NOT sign the petition.

Power is a two way street.

Thanks for the link.

Am I looking at it wrong, or are these 2 things not necessarily linked? (i.e., if the employees want a union, why ban collective bargaining?)

And you have every right to think and believe as you do. I can disagree, but I have no right to tell you that you're wrong. That's why I said, "this is America".

I have never agreed with you more. There is no clear-cut "right or wrong" on this issue. Just what we each choose to believe based upon our rationale.

What an awful radical right proposal. Right to work laws are simply laws designed to give labor unions a nonviable business model. The only people who would benefit from right to work laws are those who believe we need to drive down wages and benefits for the middle class and working class.
