It is a shame that the US Government spent money on sending you to West Point, as the end result seems to be some type of drama queen.. you are not making any sense.

The Dems did not hold hearings on McCain.. that must come from some Joe Farah or other birther conspirator..

The FBI, CIA and NSA were all asleep at the wheel.. this is just another absurd thread about nothing, and shows the weakness of the Republican Party that they pursue these issues that have nothing to do with what is going on in this country, i.e. grand diversion.

Even Karl Rove( who would know what the FBI knew) says it is a silly effort and a waste of time.

The U.S. Senate did pass a non-binding resolution recognizing the eligibility of McCain back in 2008:

Interestingly enough, two of the co-sponsors were Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama. I guess they knew even then that he would be easy to beat!

I thought it was well-established that people knew this. I've heard it over the years at least half a dozen times.

But admittedly I get most of my news from talk radio and the Internet.

As Bill Parcells is wont to say, people aren't entitled to their own facts.

And as someone who agreed with the late Sen. Daniel Patrick Moynihan that the CIA should be abolished--read _Legacy of Ashes_ to see a vile record of incompetence by that organization--I have little faith in the alphabet soup agencies doing the work DarrylS reasonable expects them to do.

Simply put, they're too incompetent. I understand, though, the burden of proof should be on me.

But here's a little anecdote. You all heard of A.Q. Khan? No? Then google him.

So are you and Brandon saying that if the US Senate passing a nonbinding resolution that Obama is eligible to run, then the issue is settled? Or what point are you trying to make? What's the relevance of this resolution?

Not yet. 2013, maybe...although it's not looking good. If Trump decides to run as a third-party candidate just scrap the whole election and announce a second term for Obama so that the country can avoid wasting another $2.5 billion on the campaign.

Did you see who sponsored it?? Claire McGaskill, Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, Patrick Leahy and Jim Webb..

The origins should be explored.. but here is the text. It is clear it was an affirmation of his citizenship, not questioning it..
