Default Transocean gives our "Saftey" Bonuses

Nothing shocks me anymore, we are morally bankrupt. The coporate looting of America.

BBC News - Transocean gives bonuses after Gulf of Mexico BP spill

The offshore drilling firm responsible for running the Deepwater Horizon rig has given its top executives bonuses for its "best year" for safety. Yeah OK.

I've said it before: the agency problem in corporate governance has been our undoing. See: 2008 financial collapse, bonuses for Fannie and Freddie execs, etc.

So now we blame the cops when someone commits a crime?

Got it...

History is a decent teacher.

-----------
robber baron

–noun
1. History/Historical . a noble who robbed travelers passing through his lands.
2. a ruthlessly powerful U.S. capitalist or industrialist of the late 19th century considered to have become wealthy by exploiting natural resources, corrupting legislators, or other unethical means.

http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/robber+baron
-----------

I'm still surprised that people think corporate CEOs are on the same side as the average American. Sheep believe that kind of nonsense.

“On a day when they could have had impact players David Terrell or Koren Robinson..they took Georgia defensive tackle Richard Seymour, who had 1 sacks last season in the pass-happy SEC and is too tall to play tackle at 6-6 and too slow to play defensive end. This genius move was followed by trading out of a spot where they could have gotten the last decent receiver in Robert Ferguson and settled for tackle Matt Light, who will not help any time soon.”

Huh? Are Boards of Directors supposed to be the cops in this scenario?

Google "agency problem".

This news should shock 0% of us.

The new American Dream should read "Fukc up, go bankrupt, destroy the Earth, get PAID (unless you are middle class....then sorry)"
