Not much of an article, as it is remarkably devoid of facts or figures. More of a commentary / opinion column.

It is an opinion column. For facts and figures I would suggest the US Census where Dr Sowell drew his data.

I don't know if they'ree bigger, smaller or about the same, but of course they are big on it -- but why not blame the pubbies we well as the liberals whom you cite?

My point was that it didn't add anything.

A rarity, but we probably agree, or come close to agreement, on many areas regarding business, regulation and government spending.

See I talked about liberal policies not political parties. You are the one who put it in the context of political parties.

semantics, unless you're prepared to concede that many, if not most, Republicans are liberals, too

Nice post. That's where I was going with it.

This genius move was followed by trading out of a spot where they could have gotten the last decent receiver in Robert Ferguson and settled for tackle Matt Light, who will not help any time soon.”

Maybe Dr. Sowell should have taken into account that a good percentage of people leaving the Northeast are retirees that want to spend their golden years in warmer climates?

Or Mass residents who move to Southern New Hampshire but continue working in Mass. Those people don't count as Mass residents but they contribute to the economy.

If you read the article he refers directly to young educated people from 20-40 both Black and Caucasian.

I read the article and it doesn't mention anything about that age group. It mentions the 20th century and 1840's. That's the only thing I can see that mentions 20 & 40.

As the CEO of Gainzo Industries I have made it clear to my lobbyist's that they need to do a better a job as Chico Corp are getting all the breaks
