Bingo. Although, not surprisingly, you fail to point out that while pubbies are all for cutting taxes, they're big on incentives, subsidies and other corporate welfare.
The dems are just big on giveaways to businesses as the pubbies arguably even more so. I am from the S Forbes branch of the Tea Party.

Not much of an article, as it is remarkably devoid of facts or figures. More of a commentary / opinion column.
It is an opinion column. For facts and figures I would suggest the US Census where Dr Sowell drew his data.

We just have to try to evaluate them the best we can."

See I talked about liberal policies not political parties. You are the one who put it in the context of political parties.

That's why the pols should do neither. Make it easy to run a business. Keep regs in place for safety, pollution, etc., but eliminate more of the red tape.
When pols try to get greedy or clever, they lose. The former because companies have options (and are more greedy ). The latter because the companies are smarter and have smarter lawyers.
Nice post. That's where I was going with it.

This genius move was followed by trading out of a spot where they could have gotten the last decent receiver in Robert Ferguson and settled for tackle Matt Light, who will not help any time soon.”

Maybe Dr. Sowell should have taken into account that a good percentage of people leaving the Northeast are retirees that want to spend their golden years in warmer climates?
Or Mass residents who move to Southern New Hampshire but continue working in Mass. Those people don't count as Mass residents but they contribute to the economy.

If you read the article he refers directly to young educated people from 20-40 both Black and Caucasian.

I read the article and it doesn't mention anything about that age group. It mentions the 20th century and 1840's. That's the only thing I can see that mentions 20 & 40.
See, I don't think any specific industry or business should get an individualized break. Either you lower taxes and regs for all businesses, or you don't. Giving Chico Corp a break while Gainzo Industries is stuck paying the full price seems unfair to me. I've been on both sides of this issue and it's changed my mind of what I once used to think was good policy.
As the CEO of Gainzo Industries I have made it clear to my lobbyist's that they need to do a better a job as Chico Corp are getting all the breaks
