(CNN) -- The growing Hispanic population in the United States has reached a new milestone, topping 50 million, or 16.3% of the nation, officially solidifying its position as the country's second-largest group, U.S. Census Bureau officials said Thursday.
"Overall, we've learned that our nation's population has become more racially and ethnically diverse over the past 10 years," Nicholas A. Jones, chief of the bureau's racial statistics branch, told reporters.

Oh OH, Old White Haired Dudes take notice, your days are numbered.
Considering Hispanics tend to be very socially conservative, I would think the gays and pro-aborts should be the ones more interested in taking notice of our shifting demographics.
Oh, wait, I get it. Old white haired dudes are racist.

Hispanics tend to be poor or working class.
Oh I'm not sitting here calling them ultra conservatives or anything like that. I'm just saying this isn't the windfall for the left that some lefties like you apparently think it is.
The illegal invasion by the 3rd world will be what eventually does us in.

"The most difficult subjects can be explained to the most slow-witted man if he has not formed any idea of them already; but the simplest thing cannot be made clear to the most intelligent man if he is firmly persuaded that he knows already, without a shadow of doubt, what is laid before him." Leo Tolstoy, 1897

+1. I think a lot of people fail to realize that pretty much every country in the Western Hemisphere is a 3rd world hellhole. You got Canada, the United States, and then a whole bunch of dumos that people are doing everything they can to escape - and come here.

I was in Market Basket today and of the 30 people around me in the different registers, maybe 5 spoke a dozen words of english or more. Forget that though, cuz maybe they're all here legally. The problem is that virtually everyone who couldn't speak english, was paying with WIC, EBT, food stamps...WTF is that? Why let people into this country if all they're going to do is cost the hard working money? If they aren't legal, which we know most aren't, then why are they getting freebies? Anyone ever ask Auntie Zuchinni that?

You should shop at Trader Joes...hardly any Italians there.
Here's an oldie but along the same lines:
"From the first of January to the first of July, the number of emigrants landed at this port alone, is fourteen thousand six hundred and seventy-four, and up to the present time may be computed at upwards of fifteen thousand; and as the winter months are generally unfavorable to emigration, we are safe in estimating the number which will arrive here in the year 1835, at thirty thousand.
If, however, we take the round number of thirty thousand emigrants, annually landing in our city, and with the self-augmenting population, arising from that capital, how long will it be that American citizens can retain the destinies of their country in their own hands? The emigration annually doubles the number of our births, and when added to the foreign power already here, which never can throw off attachments to their home and government, it presents a fearful increase of political power; for, unless our naturalization laws are altered, and foreigners placed on a footing with our own sons, this city and state, and probably the whole Union, will be under the control of foreign governments in a few years. Let Americans look at these things in time, and keep the staff in their own hands.- N.Y. Star."
Some things naver change.
