So if they give money to a candidate who is promising to raise their taxes, what does that mean?
I don't know how many [/I]of the Forbes 400 are trust-fund kids. Do you?

Maybe I wasn't clear. It is a myth that jobs are created only by the rich as they would like us all to believe. Many of these people received their education at public schools and financed them with loans and grants sponsored by the People. Many of them, including oil and mineral prospectors, lumber and building materials, and energy companies exist solely because they have exploited the vast natural resources of this country. Many of them spring from research and development sponsored by taxpayers like tech used by the Army Corp of Engineers, the space program, and the military. Poblic works sponsored by all layers of government spawn many private companies. The first company I had was created to bid on a project funded by public and private funding.

On what planet does a candidate promise to raise taxes?

Are you under the misapprehension that the middle class and poor pay all the taxes?

I am against corporate welfare. Are you saying that they do not pay for the use of land or that land was given to them?

How does it work when the government develops a new technology? Do they ever obtain patents? Maybe that would be a way to recoup the cost of developing them? At the very least if the govt. subsidizes research they should get a piece of the action, no?

The bottom line is that none of these politicians are any good.
