O'Reilly's not middle of the road unless he changed dramatically over the past few years.
More like "middle of the bell curve".

The statement that "Fox News is fair & balanced" is accurate. "Fox News" only includes Shepard Smith and Bret Baier.
And then there is, Fox News anchor Gregg Jarrett, who, in November 2009, told viewers that a Sarah Palin book signing in Grand Rapids, Michigan had a massive turnout while showing footage of Palin with a large crowd. Jarrett noted that the former Republican vice-presidential candidate is "continuing to draw huge crowds while she's promoting her brand-new book", adding that the images being shown were "some of the pictures just coming in to us.... The lines earlier had formed this morning." The video was actually taken from a 2008 McCain/Palin campaign rally.
But maybe you "forgot" about him.
O'Reilly, Beck, Hannity & Greta aren't "New" shows, so they don't have to be "fair & balanced" and Fox doesn't claim them to be. O'Reilly is actually fairly middle of the road, but not a news show.
If you put up a banner which says "FAIR AND BALANCED NEWS" and you list a group of names underneath that banner, you are telling people that they are fair and balanced.
Your opinion can be whatever you want it to be, PR. It is my opinion that if someone advertises themselves as "a fair and balanced" station, lists their personnel,be it commentator, talk show host or news anchor under that advertisement and calls itself a "NEWS" station their intention is to have people believe they are all fair and balanced.
