Didn't read the article at all. I am aware of the attacks on the Christian moinority in Egypt.

Some need nits to pick when they can't agrue the issues.

You guys are arguing over something stupid. The reason that some say 5% and some say 10% is because there are no hard numbers on the percentage of Coptic Christians in Egypt. Consider it a relic of the Mubarak regime.

At least we can dispense with the silly notion that Egyptian is a utopia of religious tolerance compared to America.

This genius move was followed by trading out of a spot where they could have gotten the last decent receiver in Robert Ferguson and settled for tackle Matt Light, who will not help any time soon.”

Has anybody suggested that's the case?

That was the feeling I got from a few people in this thread...before it was derailed.

What Americans Can Learn From Egyptians

EDIT - I just realized I typed "Egyptian" instead of Egypt in the first post. Nice...

ah, got it -- yeah, that thread title should have had the word "some" inserted before both Americans and Egyptians

Not for nothing, but what does it matter what the percentage is....they're a minority with a capital M.

Do you find it equally laughable to think that a minority of Muslims in the USA (2.4% of the population) are provoking attacks against the American majority?

If you find it laughable that Egyptian Muslims (90%) might fear coptic Christians (10%) why do you not find it equally laughable that American non-Muslims (97.3%) fear American Muslims (2.7%) enough that several states and local municipalities are trying to pass laws banning Sharia laws which have never even been considered?

Because there is a history of Jiahd against American Infiedels by American Muslims (Fort Hood being just 1 example and no similar pattern of attacks on Muslims.

Of course in Egypt the government give tacit if not explicit approval to violence against Christians. See the rantings by the Head of the MB against Non Muslims and their status and the results of the Pew and Zogby polls.

This is why non Muslims are being driven out of Muslim countries (think ethnic cleansing) and Muslims want to move here, If Muslims in American were treated the way non Muslims are in Muslims countries they wouldn't be emigrating here.
