I believe it should never be tolerated anywhere on this earth as well. Unless "they" change what the sharia laws/punishments are.
Keep in mind that I also don't believe in political correctness either.
I hate the aspects we hear about, but I don't know enough to say that I hate "sharia law."
Did you read the article? Multiple Muslims were quoted as saying that "sharia" isn't simply the horrific stuff that makes the news.
(btw, I presume you're opposed to the death penalty?)
getting OT: None of this has anything to do with "political correctness," by the way -- though I'd be curious to know where you think common decency ends and political correctness begins.

Why would a Non Islamic country even consider allowing a Muslim law to be implemented, if they did then shouldn't they also embrace Greek Laws, Italian Laws, Voo Doo, Japanese, Somalian, Hells Angels and God Forbid the Ku Klux Klan, WHY JUST MUSLIM, Isn't Al Queda just as bad if not worse then the KKK, beheading, stoning, lashing, severing spinal cords, removing tongues, hanging, body burning, amputations isn't all that right up there with THE KLAN......

You just refuted your own argument, Harry. Non-Islamic countries, such as the USA, do not make laws to not enforce Greek laws or Italian laws or VooDoo, Japanese, Somalian, Hells Angelsor KKK laws because there IS NO FRIGGIN DANGER OF ANYONE TRYING TO IMPLEMENT THEM IN THE FIRST PLACE. Just like there's no danger of anyone trying to implement Sharia laws in Tennessee or Oklahoma or Arizona or any other American city. We've already got our own laws and no one's looking to replace them.
The reason you and anyone else who gets all excited and thinks we need special laws on the books to outlaw Sharia laws is because they have a bias against Islam that they don't have against Greeks or Italians or VooDoo, Japanese, Somalian, Hells Angels or KKK peoples.
As you've point out here - these types of laws are pointedly aimed at only one specific group of people - that would make it, ummm, fill in the ________.
This one is interesting, as it concerns the workings of an institution within the religion itself (i.e. this is not a simple civil case like a divorce). Would applying state or federal law violate the separation of church and state? Maybe they should not be appealing to the state to settle this matter?

Since the Constitution draws a line between the State and the Church, Sharia law (which is a religious doctrine) is by definition unconstitutional and cannot be applied to any citizen of the U.S.
To further define this in a specific law is a good thing.

Courts have used the "Lemon Test" based on a 1971 case to determine whether something violates the Establishment Clause of the Us Constitution.
>>An enduring test for whether a statute or a practice violates the Establishment Clause was set forth by the United States Supreme Court in Lemon v. Kurtzmann, 403 US 602, 612-613 (1971). The Lemon test holds that to survive constitutional scrutiny, a statute or practice must (1) have a secular purpose; (2) have a principal or primary effect that neither advances nor inhibits religion; and (3) not foster excessive governmental entanglement with religion. The Wisconsin Supreme Court adopted the Lemon test in State ex. Rel. Holt v. Thompson, 66 Wis. 2d 659 (1974).<<<<
It would seem from the facts given in the link that the third part of the test, " excessive government entanglement with religion" is violated here and likely to be overturned, if appealed.
