Default Patriot Act

President Hussein signs Bush's Patriot Act, Iraq, Afghanistan, Gitmo boy did this Chicago bull***** artist pull the wool down over the eyes of his fawning gushing groupies.

Bush is still calling the shots, Obama takes his marching orders directly from Crawford Texas.

Nope, never, I would have sort of supported him if he had made all the CHANGES we were waiting for.

CHANGE WE CAN BELIEVE IN

YES WE CAN

This is America, Harry. The president does what congress wants him to do, remember? That's why you were so glad that The Republicans gained control.
They're the ones who voted to extend it - not the Dems, who opposed it, not even the Tea Party Congressmen who also opposed it - however, simple majority rules - and if you voted Republican, you gave them the majority.

Thanks, Harry. Good call. {Insert sarcastic emoticon here}

Last Thursday, Congress passed a 90-day extension to certain controversial parts of the USA Patriot Act, providing lawmakers extra time to consider the provisions, including one that allows federal investigators to use roving wiretap surveillance without seeking a court order. These provisions were not made permanent when the Patriot Act originally passed—shortly after the 9/11 attacks—since they raised concerns over giving the U.S. government too much power to spy, and they were set to expire next month. In early February, a similar measure to extend the provisions failed in the U.S. House, which tried using fast-track rules that would have required a two-thirds positive vote rather than a simple majority. Twenty-six GOP lawmakers, including eight Tea Party freshmen, sided with most Democrats in voting that fast-tracked measure down.

Again, only a 3rd political party can change our path as a country. The two party "sham" must be broken with a crediable 3rd party. Then once that party achieves credibility, a 4th party needs to begin becuause it's only a matter of time before the 3rd party become simply party of the machine.

Simply put, corruption has taken root so deep within our country, the President is too small to tackle the issues we face... Yes, the most poerful person in the country, is to weak to make change.

What harry misses (b/c he just listens to Drudge) is that many of his voters have criticized Obama for his shortcomings in these areas, and it hasn't taken them 6 years, when he was no longer a candidate, to do so.

If it goes too far, you get the kind of gridlock you see in Israeli politics, where no party is ever to get a simple majority of the vote, and must sacrifice its values and agenda to please the other parties it needs to help them out in getting things done. Of course, our version of government differs from theirs in significant ways, but not necessarily in a good way. Too many parties in our system could really make it hard to get anything done at all.

I like George Washington's solution. No parties.

“On a day when they could have had impact players David Terrell or Koren Robinson..they took Georgia defensive tackle Richard Seymour, who had 1 sacks last season in the pass-happy SEC and is too tall to play tackle at 6-6 and too slow to play defensive end. This genius move was followed by trading out of a spot where they could have gotten the last decent receiver in Robert Ferguson and settled for tackle Matt Light, who will not help any time soon.”

I guess it doesn't matter, though, Harry will still go to his grave blaming Obama.
