"The Donald" would prove interesting, he has face recognition and has a bundle of money.. not sure how his penchant for divorce or eastern european wives would fly with those who are on the conservative side of the aisle. He is a master of manipulating the media.

Every misdeed would be known, and suspect there are a few skeletons in that closet.

Really do not know his politics, need to know more about many different things he believes in.

One thing for sure, is that Golf would really come to the forefront..

In short do not know enough about what he believes in politically and his vision for America..

One good reason to vote for him is he's a good business man and this country needs that now also if the Loons go nuts and start being obsessed with him the way have with Palin thats another good reason, if he drives MSNBC nuts then "He's The Man"

He needs a haircut and a "lip job" he's got "punch me" written all over his face, I can't stand looking at the bastard, he always looks like he's sucking lemons.

We've had Obama and windbag Biden so we can handle anything, Trump could clean up the Jug Ear financial mess and get people back to work so I guess I couls vote for him I just wouldn't look at him>

Not a chance. He's not that bright, has no concept of how to work with other people, is far too egotistical and isn't even a particularly good businessman, imo. (re the last part, I view him as a speculator, which is fine -- but it's very different from being a good businessman)

And that's without knowing anything about his political beliefs

How good of a business man are you if you've had to file bankruptcy three times?

I am particularily fascinated by his 2008 lawsuit which claims he is not responsible to pay back a 40 million dollar construction loan to a Dutch bank because the recession which took place was an Act of God that he could not have forseen and which therefore rendered him not responsible for the debt.

Equally fascinating is the fact that he denied those who owed him money on the same project the same leeway - citing the fact that they didn't have the right Act of God clause put into their contracts.

Sounds like just what this country needs. Someone who not only asks God to tell him what to do but blames Him when things go wrong.

Real World

I'm open to it, as I'm more or less open to any candidate until I find out what their core philosophy is. If he runs, I'll pay attention to what he has to say and go from there. Could he be any worse than the last 2 guys we've had? Probably not.

Trump isn't that bright? I guess this goes back to what we each consider "bright" to be.

Trump made his early millions by developing property some 30-40 years ago, and with those millions, created the billions he's worth today. The guy is a terrific businessman. Anyone that can take on massive projects like he has, with such a forward moving vision, and also survive a near melt down in that '89-92 economic period is anything but a bad businessman. Maybe you don't like The Donald personally, which is fine, but from an impartial perspective the guy is a good businessman.

I do agree that he is an egotistical A-hole. If you & I had his billions we might be the same way too.

Real World

When you come out of those bankruptcy's to turn yourself into a multi-billionaire, then you're probably a good one. Remember that being a good businessman isn't about being successfull 100% of the time. It's also about how you deal with the road bumps and near collapses you'll face during your career. How you come out from hardship really shows one's strength and fortitude. The way it was put to me back in that period '89-92 was "this is when all the shoemakers go under, and the legit businesses survive". It was true then, and it's true in these times now.

No clue about the Act of God bit, but it sounds ridiculous to me. Again though, a good businessman will take advantage of any and every tool at his disposal. It's not how I do business, but to each their own.
