I believe its the 1st amendment to the constitution (I'm not a constitutional scholar) that gives every american the right to free speech. Oh, I just googled it.....Here it is:

Come on Holy Diver, you're smarter than that. The "freedom of speech" clause to the first amendment has limits, and you know it. You cannot incite a riot and hide behind the first amendment. You cannot plot to kill someone or overthrow the government and hide behind the first amendment. And you cannot provide comfort and support to an enemy and hide behind the first amendment.
