Something most Massachusetts residents don't know about "Speeding"
The actual law says nothing about "driving faster than the posted speed limit"...by Massachusetts law, "Speeding is driving faster than the flow of traffic so as to present a danger to others"
in other words, if you're doing 75 and flow of traffic is going 75, you can't get ticketed (legally).
Check it out, I'm not kidding.
I also bought a cheap book on how to beat speeding tickets about 10 years ago. I got 2 tickets after reading the book and beat them both. It was actually an amazing book.
Example: Never state how fast you thought you were going to the cop or to the clerk magistrate. Just say, "I was not speeding" and then ask for a trial.
If no prosecutor shows up and the judge asks you a question, ask the judge if he is going to act as both prosecutor and judge....which is illegal and the case must be dismissed.
Also, ask the police officer how he "clocked" you. Whether he say with his speedometer or with a radar gun, ask when the last time they were calibrated. If he/she gives you a date, ask for the records...if they have no records/evidence with them, ask for immediate dismissal, you'll get it!
