No, it's not ultra-sensitive lefties or ultra-sensitive Jews who find this obscene, and it's certainly not an intersection of that Venn diagram.
Or, as the letter states:
Quote:
In the charged political climate in the current civic debate, much is tolerated, and much is ignored or dismissed. But you diminish the memory and meaning of the Holocaust when you use it to discredit any individual or organization you disagree with. That is what Fox News has done in recent weeks, and it is not only 'left-wing rabbis' who think so.
No, it's not a leftie thing. It's people that don't live in an echo chamber. This is what happens when bile like Beck's leaks out of it and into mainstream news.
Beck and Ailes did not invent the holocaust-appropriation tactic, but they've taken it to new lows.
But you know, I'm Jewish, and we're touchy about stuff like blaming the Jews for the actions of the Nazis and that sort of thing.

Gotta love it Rabbi's defending a guy Soros who help round up the Hungarian Jews and sent them to Auschwitz.

Gotta love it indeed.
"Fox slanders Soros, therefore slander is true."
Your silly tin Beck-god notwithstanding, Soros was a 14-year-old boy at the time. Every account says his "crime" was that he went with the Christian who was sheltering him, where said "adoptive father" or whatever you call him, tallied confiscated property.
Beck says Soros rounded up Jews and sent them to death camps.
Those are different things, aren't they, sometimes-moderator?
This is blaming the victim, isn't it, sometimes-moderator?

Well, for one thing, since 13 obviously did not read either of the cited articles before spouting more lies, the rabbis composed the letter partially in response to Beck's deliberate manipulation of the facts and outright horrendous lies about Soros.
But the rabbis said that the letter was sparked by Beck's three-part program in November about billionaire philanthropist Soros, who is Jewish and grew up in Nazi-occupied Hungary and is a favorite target of conservative pundits.
"And George Soros used to go around with this anti-Semite and deliver papers to the Jews and confiscate their property and then ship them off," Beck said on one of the programs. "And George Soros was part of it. He would help confiscate the stuff. It was frightening. Here's a Jewish boy helping send Jews to the death camps."
(Soros has said that he hid with a Christian family to escape the Nazis, and that he was present when his so-called godfather inventoried property confiscated from Jews who had been deported.)
13 is apparently of the belief that Beck speaks the truth and has no problem propagating his boldfaced lies, lies and more lies.
Poor 13, I could regard him as simply pathetic if he weren't so willfully ignorant.

Beck attacked Soros.
Soros funds Jewish Funds for Justice, group that attacked Beck.

I guess that makes all the other Nazi rhetoric on fox ok.
Re. Soros, what do you think he should have done?
He shouldn't have said he felt good about it.
