Man, I sure hope it turns up. If it doesn't, this governor will turn into the ultimate boob. He'll have potentially made what was a fringe issue for an unfriendly segment of the public, into a genuine distraction on a more wide ranging level for the president. All of us, by way of being human, have a level of conspiracy theorist inside us. It's basic human nature, and is more a matter of curiousity than anything else (things that make you go hmmmm). If Abercrombie can't find his Birth Certificate, that curiousity among those who really didn't care before, will likely be peaked.

I am not a "birther" and I agree the evidence proves beyond any reasonable doubt he was born in Hawaii. Case closed as far as I'm concerned. But you do know that the document you referenced above wasn't an original birth ceritficate right?

The governor was stupid to make this an issue in the first place. He thought he was doing Obama a favor when all he's doing is giving the matter legs.
