Default graffiti claiming Calif. Gov. Brown to be killed on Valentine’s Day

Police alarmed over graffiti claiming Calif. Gov. Brown to be killed on Valentine’s Day | Raw Story

"We gonna kill Gov. Brown 2 14 11," the graffiti read.

"The vandal spray-painted in red, '27 more days 4 Brown' and included a swastika, Bertagna said, adding someone later painted over the red '7' with a black '6' as if it were a countdown," CBS 2 in Los Angeles reported.

Violence is never the answer.. unfortunately too many people believe it is, and that they are justified in thinking that way.

The world is not that simple. You can repeat this mantra ad nauseum, but in the real world, violence IS SOMETIMES the answer.

Of course, in this case, we're not talking about people who logically think of reasonable solutions, because violence is obviously not the answer to a grievance with an elected official in this country. Does anyone have insight on why exactly neo-Nazis would target Governor Brown like this? Is this a black flag sort of thing, perhaps?

“On a day when they could have had impact players David Terrell or Koren Robinson..they took Georgia defensive tackle Richard Seymour, who had 1 sacks last season in the pass-happy SEC and is too tall to play tackle at 6-6 and too slow to play defensive end. This genius move was followed by trading out of a spot where they could have gotten the last decent receiver in Robert Ferguson and settled for tackle Matt Light, who will not help any time soon.”

We might have some idiot Dead Kennedys fans who listened to the song "California Uber Alles"

During the election, one of my friends who never talks politics, asked me what I thought of Jerry Brown. After I told him, he recited lyrics from a song from 1979 about Brown by the Dead Kennedys:

2006 Jello Biafra Interview On "California Uber Alles" and Jerry Brown | KQED News Fix

The title is an allusion to the first stanza of the national anthem of Germany, which used to begin with the words "Deutschland, Deutschland über alles." (literally, "Germany, Germany above all.")

The song focuses on Jerry Brown, the Governor of California between 1975 and 1983, and is sung from his perspective. An imaginary Brown outlines a hippie-fascist vision for America, in which his "suede denim secret police" kill un-cool people with "organic poison gas" chambers. Lines such as "Serpent's egg already hatched" (a reference to a line from William Shakespeare's play Julius Caesar) comment on the corrosive nature of power. The line "now it is 1984" refers to the totalitarian regime of George Orwell's novel Nineteen Eighty-Four, describing a future (from 1979) where Jerry Brown has become President Brown presiding over secret police and gas chambers.

what my friend DIDN'T do was follow up on what Jello Biafra NOW thinks about Brown:

Of Brown as governor, Biafra also says, “I guess that would be better than selling the whole state off on eBay.” (For the politically inactive, that's a dig at GOP front-runner Meg Whitman, eBay's former chief.)

Anyone analyze the paint yet to see if it's more likely to be purchased by a democrat or republican yet?

I bet it's a jilted lover. Who else would kill a man on Valentine's Day?
