Rand Paul (R-KY), re-tweeting a positive message about him in May: “Lefties: Before you start fringe-baiting Rand Paul, note that he’s better on civil liberties than most Democratic senators. And Obama.” He seems to dislike liberals, writing, “You so-called liberals make me laugh – you’re all for free speech until someone disagrees, then it’s ‘report him!’” He also accuses the Daily Kos of “Stalinism.”

I'm usually wary whenever I see something like this, but in this case, he's really toed the line with his remarks, which could be construed as an incitement to violence.

I have no idea about Massachusetts gun laws, outside of their extreme nature, so I can't comment on that. This does smack a little of reactionary measures when it's too late. Had someone done this with a legit nutcase like Loughner, we wouldn't be talking about any of this. IOW, right idea, but probably wrong application.

Corcoran, 39, who runs the online comic site HeavyInk and calls himself an "anarcho-capitalist," has not been arrested or charged with any crime. Local and federal authorities are investigating.

Pretty nasty stuff. Based on the comment 1 down 534 to go he doesn't sound like that big a fan on Ron Paul who would be 1 of the 534. It is always interesting how those on the left are looking for any excuse to punish people who use the 1st amendment in ways they don't like we can only imagine the outrage if people who wished death or assassination for Cheney and or Bush were harassed and had their business shut down for expressing their views.

Your post sounds contradictory at best.. you claim he is pretty nasty, but somehow in the warped mind of the right, you justify it as a first amendment right and then somehow link it to Sir Richard of Haliburton.

The threat of violence on anyone is wrong.. no matter how you frame it.

I am not justifying anything the guy says. Nasty people have first amendment rights too. Something the left ignores when it suits their agenda de jour.

Yes you are.. read your posts, instead of just condemning what he says you try to frame it into something else and somehow it becomes justified because of what someone else might do or might have said.. he is a self proclaimed "capito-anarchist"... interesting way for him to describe himself.

The right so loves the constitution, particularly when it fits their agenda, when it does not it is just a "goddam piece of paper".. no one is denying his rights, just a commentary on the threat of violence on our elected officials.. which is blatantly against the constitution, as it provides a remedy if there is dissatisfaction with their performance..
