11 guns is not an "amassed arsenal". I would think that if you had any exposure with the shooting sports, you'd know that it is quite common for a gun owner to own several firearms. One "does not fit all" uses. Some even collect them for their value.

No one yelled fire in a theatre. As I said, I have only seen the two tweets which expressed an opinion. Not a call to action. I am not here to defend this individual. Just to voice my concern over the possibility of one right being snuffed without due process because of another being used.

Pitiful that now someone's "beliefs" are now ok to justify stripping their 2A rights. Here come the "thought police". Seems that guns owners have been demonized so successfully, that it's OK that such things happen to them.

if you care to continue this discussion, decide what it is you want to discuss. Do you want to talk about whether attempts by various parties, political groups, etc. to restrict other people's freedoms are justifiable? It certainly seems that's where you want to shift the conversation.

However, that's not what I was referring to. You tried to pretend that the left does something bad and that the right doesn't. Clearly that's not the case. You just happen to be OK with the right's attempts. (shocking!)

You missed the third post of this thread.. it is a lot more than a couple of tweets...

Seems that the protections of free speech move into the legal realm when there are active threats against anyone... unfortunately this will play as a violation of the 1st and 2nd amendment, but from what we know now it is closer to criminal than amendment violations..

IMO the police have no choice, if they are made aware of threats and do nothing, and then something happens then they become liable, they cannot overlook or minimize these threats.

Since the Tuscon shooting there is a Rush to protect "the politicians" which is good, now How About The Innocent Children And Little Old Ladys that get shot and killed by the Gang Banger Savages stray bullets because the stupid bastards can't shoot straight, it's one thing when these animals shoot each other but when they kill the little kids it's time we give those kids just as much thought as we do with the politicians.

They took those guns away from the guy in Arlington now how about going after The Crips & Bloods Guns.

The simple answer is that blacks killing blacks, or spanish killing spanish or poor folks killing poor folks, is less important than white radical extremists plotting and planning on killing congressmen and women.. kind of like triage. Some say that the former is functional....

To me it raises an interesting question. At what point does it become lawful to take away someone's gun license for what they say/write? This guy is obviously a turd, but if he's never acted on any of the diarrhea he's written is there a justification to revoke his license and seize his property? If the weapons are all registered I'm not sure its appropriate to take his property and revoke his license without due process, even temporarily. Aren't we supposed to be protected to say what we want without having to worry about the government taking what's ours without any kind of trial?

Turn this around.. if the police become aware of a threat that after investigation is found to be credible and they do not act, then they become liable.... not to act in this situation, is sometimes worse than the subsequent actions..

There has to be some type of decision making matrix out there that would indicate that if certain factors are present, then this is the most appropriate course of action.. not too many Police Chiefs would just do this without some type of evidence based backup.

I do agree with the due process though, and if not then this needs remediation...
