Once again, Harry, you are a day late and a dollar short. There's been virtually no negative comments on Obama's speech - from either side. In fact, it's been highly touted as a great speech by just about everyone. You can take your hopeful lies elsewhere.

Perhaps, in the interest of putting your money where your mouth is you'd consider taking his advice and make this world a better, more civilized, place for your children and grandchildren to live in by toning down your own rhetoric and you'd try, just try, not referring to "the other side" as loons or worse for a week or so.

Try to refrain from using the words "KILL" "SHOOT" "MAIN" "BEHEAD" or "HATE." Don't yell. Speak in an even font.

Just like Sarah removed her map, some gun manufacturer removed their "You Lie" gun from the market and Rush removed his billboard


you, too, can do your part.

And, if it ends up that we don't see you for a week or so, we'll all understand.

Obama in a roundabout nice way so as not to embarass or offend the crazy hate filled liberals politely told the jackal loons like Chris Matthews to "shut their f-cking mouths" and let the families bury their dead.

I don't think anyone (including myself) should be "more careful" or change the way we speak in fear of some nut going on a rampage. Just as we shouldn't change the way we live in fear of terrorism.

But as far as Rush's things like Rush's sign...well, let's just say THAT kind of thing isn't good for anyone. And just maybe, he's one of those nuts himself.

I thought her criticism was of the predominantly student audience and their behavior ( cheering/clapping) and not of the speech itself. Contrast that to the Virgina Tech memorial which was much more somber.
The President's speech was excellent in tone and content and would have been even more effective had the audience appreciated the situation. My criticism was of the introduction of the President by the University President (?).. He seemed a little too upbeat for my tastes.

Also think Rush had a few negative comments as well, and criticized Newscorse for praising him..

It was what it was a good speech, all the rest was windowdressing and beyond the control of Obama..
