Default Thousands of dead birds & fish found in multiple states

Is anyone paying attention to this? First it was thousands of dead birds (5,000 now) falling from the sky in Arkansas, as well as 20,000 dead fish found in a river. Now today they've found a thousand more dead birds in Louisiana, and Kentucky. Supposedly they died of blunt force trauma, and internal bleeding. What's going on?

Arkansas
Experts say as many as 100,000 drum fish have died suddenly in Arkansas, after several thousand birds mysteriously fell from the sky just before midnight on New Year's eve - kwch.com

My birthday is nine days later. Maybe I should ask for gifts and cards a little earlier this year then......

Tornado, sonic boom from a new weapon or a new sound weapon being tested ... my 3 guesses.

That would be prudent.

Tell everyone to buy you something really nice this year - urge them to put it on a credit card which will not come due until June 1.

All kinds of theories out there....just a few minutes ago some scientist was saying that blackbirds follow the leader, somewhat like lemmings, in this case.

He said if the leader got screwed up and somehow hit the pavement the rest would follow him down.

Sounds like a bird-brained theory to me. From what I know of birds which fly in flocks they alternate "leaders" and it is not at all uncommon for the lead bird to fall back and the next in line simply takes over, they do not all fall to the back of the line just because the one in front of them does so - nor would they intentionally ground themselves head first, either.

They've autopsied some of the birds and they're finding large blood clots in the bodies.

Something they ate, maybe?

Fish, perhaps.

The birds they showed on TV last night were either starlings or red wing black birds, neither of which eat fish...

There were also tornados in Arkansas last week, so it is a couple of days of "freaky friday".....

Sure the conspiracy theorists and religous wingnuts are having a field day...

I was kidding.....

Nevertheless, since they don't tend to die en-masse either it's as workable a theory as any.
