Default Pat Robertson wants to legalize it

Maybe it's a trap or a troll, but Mr. Christian Coalition apparently wants us all to be able to get high legally. I guess even a broken clock....
Quote:
"We're locking up people that have taken a couple puffs of marijuana and next thing you know they've got 10 years with mandatory sentences," Robertson continued. "These judges just say, they throw up their hands and say nothing we can do with these mandatory sentences. We've got to take a look at what we're considering crimes and that's one of 'em.
Quote:
"I'm ... I'm not exactly for the use of drugs, don't get me wrong, but I just believe that criminalizing marijuana, criminalizing the possession of a few ounces of pot, that kinda thing it's just, it's costing us a fortune and it's ruining young people. Young people go into prisons, they go in as youths and come out as hardened criminals. That's not a good thing."

I'm as shocked as you are...and probably as pleased as you are about his comments. Not that he's an important guy, but still very surprising.

As he has veered slightly from the extreme right, his opinions will be dismissed as a RINO so next time a real conservative and run against him.. wait a minute, he was not elected

I've seen this more and more from hardline conservatives. They're starting to buy into libertarianism a little. Legalizing marijuana is the gateway issue. Soon, he'll be expressing apathy about gay marriage.

Well, probably not...

This genius move was followed by trading out of a spot where they could have gotten the last decent receiver in Robert Ferguson and settled for tackle Matt Light, who will not help any time soon.”

Part of me thinks that this is just momentum for throwing the people a bone that doesn't really change things much. Say pot is legalized and an injustice is ended. It's cheap, people get excited and call it progress, but it does nothing to reduce the vast corruption in the American political system, or address the vast income inequalities, or anything really meaningful. But hey, legal pot!

Loon Pat Robertson:
I'm further to the right than he is and I have always favored legalization "For All Drugs" they won't be used anymore than they are now, drugs are everywhere you can go out at 4:00 AM to any school yard or big city street corner in America and buy anything you want.

THE WAR ON DRUGS IS A JOKE

Legalize Them, Put The Smelly Scumbag Drug Dealer Out Of Business So Can't Buy Any More $700 Sneakers.

Fools
